1.  Fees

1.1 -  Places must be reserved by sending us a completed booking form and 50% of the cost as deposit (or 100% if booking within 4 weeks of the start date).

1.2 - The balance of the course fee is payable 4 weeks prior to the commencement date. 

1.3 - In the event that the fee is not paid in full 4 weeks prior to the course commencement date we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled by the client and re-sell the course place.

1.4 - All brochure prices are inclusive of V.A.T.

2. Cancellation by Client

2.1 - All cancellations must be made in writing - this includes e-mail.

2.2 - Once notified of the cancellation in writing, beginners Rock will try to resell place(s).

2.3 - In the event that Beginners Rock is able to re-sell the place(s) prior to the commencement date the client will receive a full refund.

2.4 - Refunds will only be made after the commencement date.

2.5 - In the event that Beginners Rock is unable to re-sell the place prior to the commencement date the client will be charged the following cancellation fees:

• Your deposit (50%) if the cancellation is made over 4 weeks before the start date, unless we can resell the place (see point 2.3).
• The full fee if the cancellation is made less than 4 weeks before the start date unless we can resell the place (see point 2.3).

To cover this eventuality we recommend an insurance policy that includes cancellation or curtailment of your trip or holiday

3. Cancellation by Beginners Rock

3.1 - Although every attempt is made to ensure that days run as scheduled in the event that Beginners Rock need to cancel, due to unsuitable conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, we will notify the client as soon as possible.

3.2 - In the event of cancellation by Beginners Rock clients will be offered the following options:

• Full refund or
• Another date.

Risks and Dangers

Whilst we maintain high professional standards of client care and safety, you must realise and understand that climbing,and other mountain related activities all take place in hazardous terrain. The risks involved can be minimised but never entirely eliminated.  We therefore draw your attention to the British Mountaineering Council's (BMC) Participation Statement:

Hill walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
